We would like to acknowledge that our Garden Gallery and this art were created on Traditional Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
Boil Water Advisory
Is water the new smallpox blanket?
Some art is suppose to make us feel warm and cozy. Some art is intended to be resented. This is the first protest art to be installed in our Lil' Garden Gallery @ 12117 127th Street NW - Edmonton. Hoping this art makes you uncomfortable and you hate it. Uncomfortable enough to act or react. Pondering do we provide more clean water outside of Canada than within. Organizations within Canada's Geo provide fresh water to communities in need. While peoples in our Geo go without. It is within our boarders to give. It is within our expertise to provide - however it is not within our shared political fabric to respond. Choose generous or genocide! Inaction is a choice!
